Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Sentinel Media Inc., 270 West 500 North, North Salt Lake, Utah 84054, United States ("we", "us") for the RaceTrain app, its Apple Watch app and racetrain.ai. By using RaceTrain you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use RaceTrain.

Not medical advice

RaceTrain provides general fitness training plans, coaching suggestions and sports-nutrition guidance. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise or nutrition program, especially if you are over 40, have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have had chest pain, dizziness or fainting. Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel chest pain, faintness, severe shortness of breath or sharp, worsening pain.

Exercise has risks

Running, cycling, swimming and strength training carry a risk of injury, illness and, rarely, death. RaceTrain's plans follow conservative safety rules, but no plan can remove those risks. You choose whether and how hard to train, and you take part at your own risk. Listen to your body: easing off or skipping a session is always allowed.

The AI coach

The coach and race lookup use artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude model) and can be wrong. Race dates, courses and details should be confirmed on the race's official website. Coaching replies are suggestions; changes to your plan happen only when you approve them, and the app's safety rules still apply. Do not rely on the coach for medical, emergency or safety decisions.

Your use

Beta

RaceTrain is in beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and we may end the beta at any time. Please tell us what goes wrong.

Purchases and subscriptions

RaceTrain is free during the beta. If we offer paid subscriptions, the price, billing period and what is included will be shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (or Google), renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends, and are managed and cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Ownership

RaceTrain, its design, software, plans and content belong to Sentinel Media Inc. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own training. Your data is yours; see the Privacy Policy.

Apple

If you got RaceTrain from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and has no obligation to provide maintenance. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

Disclaimers and limits

RaceTrain is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for injury arising from training you choose to do, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Ending

You can stop using RaceTrain at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access for misuse of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use RaceTrain means you accept the update.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Utah, except where your local law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
